Clinton recounted that the sultan encouraged him to enjoy the pool during his visit. “He wanted me to stay there and use the pool,” Clinton explained, describing himself as exhausted after the swim and heading straight to bed afterward.
However, committee members zeroed in on a key detail: Clinton acknowledged that both Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were present at the resort during that stay. He claimed he could not recall who else may have been there and did not elaborate on why Epstein and Maxwell had accompanied him on the trip.

When pressed, Clinton stated that, to the best of his recollection, no minors were present at the pool and that he believed those attending were part of their travel party. He also said he thought a Secret Service agent was nearby at the time.
Clinton further claimed he had “forgotten” anyone else was in the hot tub when the photo was taken and said he did not believe he even knew a picture had been snapped.
