The American Midwest is experiencing what economic analysts are calling a manufacturing renaissance, as a steady stream of new factories and plant expansions bring thousands of well-paying jobs back to heartland communities that have long awaited an industrial revival.
In the past 12 months alone, over 40 new manufacturing facilities have been announced or opened across the Midwest, representing a combined investment of more than $15 billion and an estimated 25,000 new jobs.
